Dean Lemke

Director of Nutrient Management & Environmental Stewardship

Dean joined AAI as its Nutrient Management and Environmental Stewardship Director in October 2013. Dean was the lead author of the agricultural non-point source section of the Iowa Nutrient Reduction Strategy and has over forty years of experience in developing and implementing research initiatives, new technologies, policies and assistance programs to advance environmental stewardship of production agriculture. Dean leads AAI’s efforts to assist with the implementation of Iowa’s Water Quality Initiative and the tracking of voluntary adopted practices outlined in the Iowa Nutrient Reduction Strategy.

Shawn Richmond

Director of Environmental Technology

Shawn joined AAI in April of 2015 to support the scientific monitoring efforts of the INREC organization. He was previously a Senior Environmental Specialist with IDALS for 12 years where he managed the Iowa Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program and provided leadership on the Iowa Nutrient Reduction Strategy and Gulf Hypoxia Task Force. Shawn received his MS in Water Resources in 2003 and a BS in Environmental Science in 1999, both from ISU. Shawn will be the Environmental Technology Director for AAI. As part of his duties, he will provide environmental services to the Iowa Nutrient Research and Education Council (INREC) Organization. Shawn’s strengths are in environmental programs development and management, science and new technology development.

Chad Ingels

Regional Liaison

Ingels lives in Randalia and serves the northeast portion of the state. He most recently worked as a water quality specialist for Iowa State University Extension and Outreach and is a nutrient management consultant.

Roger Webster

Regional Liaison

Webster lives in Treynor and serves the southern counties in Iowa. Roger is an instructor at Iowa Western Community College, is the General Manager at Treynor Ag Supply, and is a past Chair of AAI Services.

Vince Davis

Regional Liaison

Davis lives in Spirit Lake and serves the Northwest portion of Iowa. He is a retired Farm Bureau regional manager and has more than 30 years of experience working with farmers.
